While some symptoms and conditions may be fairly straightforward to identify, many people present with a range of symptoms that may be interrelated and difficult to tease apart. The private practice setting allows time for clinicians to meet with patients (and families) to carefully assess and develop a treatment plan that meets the needs of the patient/family.

Therapists use real-time feedback and targeted interventions to reinforce adaptive behaviors and address problematic ones. The goal is to improve clients' interpersonal skills and relationships, leading to enhanced well-being outside of therapy sessions.
